The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) is a research organization created in 1987 at the heart of the prestigious Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) as a partnership between the Government of Catalonia and UPC, in cooperation with UNESCO. The aim of CIMNE is the development of numerical methods and computational techniques for advancing knowledge and technology in engineering and applied sciences. The research activities of CIMNE cover a wide spectrum of engineering fields, being the most relevant for the FIBRE4YARDS project the work conducted on engineering materials and structures, naval, marine and offshore engineering.

Curve Works BV is a privately held company, with the vision to develop technologies that remove the waste from tooling. The problem with prototyping and small-series production is the high cost, long lead times, storage and disposal of the tooling. All 3D prints are recyclable and we use recycled thermoplastic composite materials. For different industries, among which maritime, we offer 3D printing services for all stages in 3D printing, from prototyping and product design to serial 3D printing of functional products in large series. In the last stage 10XL is also able to build a dedicated production environment for customers for out- or inhouse 3D printing. Next to doing R&D for our own purposes, we also offer contracted R&D.
